Jackie and John Jr. with Clipper, nb_143 -- Photographed in 1963, this image of Jackie and John-John on the beach with Clipper, the family dog, shows a warm and happy time with no hint of the tragedies soon to come. The German Shepherd Dog is the most highly evolved service dog. Originating in Karlsruhe, Germany, and the king of the herding group, the German Shepherd Dog is infinitely malleable to the ways of mankind without surrendering any of its canine dignity. Used as Police Dogs, Seeing Eye Dogs, Herders, and Personal Protection, the German Shepherd Dog is unsurpassed as the perfect family pet. Image size is 22" x 32" (for 24" x 36" paper size).
