Dobrowner presents landscapes with sublime complexity – imagery poised between permanence and flux, his images at once capturing seemingly eternal geological formations and the ever-changing complexion of weather. For Dobrowner, these swirling skies and monolithic mountains inspire reverence and respect for our vast, wondrous, and sometimes perilous planet. While photographing, Dobrowner keeps the words of Edward Abbey as a kind of mantra: “Our job is to record, each in his own way, this world of light and shadow and time that will never come again exactly as it is today.” A modern master printer, Dobrowner’s work is well-seated as a contemporary member of a long and honored line of American landscape photographers.

During this last trip (July 2021) we traveled over 6400 miles in 10 days crossing through 10 different states - all in my quest/passion to photograph these storm systems.
