Limited edition silver gelatin print - Shot on true infrared film (in California) in 2010, Printed 2015. #2 of 15. "Awakenings Point Lobos & Beyond" series. 11x11 on 16x20" paper.
All of my images are essentially subconscious self-portraits, which reveal themselves during my (analog black-and-white darkroom) printing process. I fell into art, by way of eastern religions a lifetime ago (was a philosophy major when art happened, and both are deeply intertwined). Grass Valley was a magical place to visit, particularly with infrared film, which is something I specialize in; I hope that this image will bring peace and beauty to the home it winds up in, and am happy to talk more about my process, privately, upon request.
