He was born in Brazil in 1970 in Quartel Geral, in the state of Minas Gerais, where he began his professional activity in 1992, when he moved to Porto Alegre and where he exhibited for the first time in 1995.
In the same year, he moved to Brasilia. He worked as an assistant in the fields of advertising and fashion, maturing and acquiring the possibility of experimenting and adopting particular ways of working, such as the study of light and the use of large formats.
In New York, he studied at the ICP (International Centre of Photography).
According to Henri Cartier-Bresson's quoted affirmation that photography is "a way of understanding", Campos is constantly searching for an expressive synthesis between art and anthropology, giving life to an original path according to a flexible structure that lends itself to tackling different themes and languages: from the study of faces and bodies to the landscape tackled in its symbolic value, for which the photographic shot becomes above all a question of environments, spaces and evocations.
He lives and works between Naples and Rio de Janeiro.
