Ortega found the model featured in these photos at an art fair where she was spellbound by her work with silks. The two met in Miami and brought to life a series of three photographs entitled, Liquid Passion, El Beso, and Poderosa Nereida. Within these masterpieces Ortega discovered her passion for not capturing poses, but motion and how looking closely at the in-between moments of life can bring to light undiscovered emotions. About the Photo: El Beso by Aldara Ortega is a part of her very experimental series entitled Agua Viva. This photo depicts a different dimension that can only be experienced for seconds at a time. The model is suspended between our reality in the breathing world, and depths of a universe that has the power to provide us with precious moments of internal stillness in the midst of continuous motion. As she kisses the surface she flirts between a world of zero gravity and the truth of where she is meant to be. About the Artist: Aldara Ortega, a self taught photographer based in New York City, over a decade ago, she began experimenting with the underwater world to find an escape from urban life. Her work is a visual journey of self-discovery, freedom and pure expression of the body, mind, and heart. It is the result of the transformational experience of being submerged in water, letting go and reconnecting with the raw, liberated, inner self. Through her underwater portraits of women, she builds an intricate storyline of personal narratives offering the viewer glimpses of her personal search to honor the feminine. She invites you to intimately connect with the work and elicit feelings of strength, boldness, sensuality, liberation and empowerment. From the Artist: "Plunging into an underwater world, I allow the inherent power to take over and start to explore. Submerged, my photography brings this exploration to life focusing on the strength and beauty of feminine energy, celebrating women and their bodies. I invite the viewer to connect with me, be present in the moment, perceive things differently and appreciate light, motion and feeling." Ceccarini offers the artists the opportunity to collaborate with some of the very best models he has worked with throughout his career to create an array of spectacular images. The Artist brings his own creative universe, techniques and palette, the Model their personality and body language. The model and artist interaction is key to the process. The temporary nature of the painting on human skin is captured and immortalized through Ceccarini’s lens to create the photographic artwork. Eric sets himself apart from others by shunning technical artifice and working in natural light, outside the studio. This results in soft, velvety, almost painterly images that amaze. Eric is a Belgian artist born in 1965. He gained a degree in photography from INFAC, Brussels in 1987, and has since then been a fashion photographer working with many of the top houses. Chopard, Elle, Marie-Claire, L’Oréal, Levi’s, Coca Cola, Virgin, Saab, Delvaux, Lowe Lintas and Ogilvy are just some of Ceccarini’s high-profile clients.
