About the Item
Charlotta Hauksdottir's "Moments" series evoke memory, intimacy and attachment to home and place. Several photographs are taken of the same space over many hours, compiled and faded into one another to give an overall impressionistic quality. In Hofur (Outlook), the artist continues her exploration of home and intimate spaces by photographing the same bedroom every day for a year. She graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2004, with an MFA in Photography. Hauksdottir was born in Reykjavík, Iceland, and lives and works in the Bay Area.
