David Trautrimas
The Future Always Returns With A Difference In The Morning

2022

About the Item

Toeing the line between the real and the unreal, David Trautrimas' photographic renderings of interior spaces push us to consider the ways that we live today. Conceptually, this series is an exploration of grief, loss and alienation with a touch of hope & tenderness. These works consider how objects and the spaces they occupy may act as stand-ins for these human experiences. The project started off as a reaction to the challenges faced during the past few years of living with Covid but then expanded to include more personal narratives.
