Howard Schatz’s Trumpet Tree offers a striking exploration of natural beauty through bold color and dramatic illumination. The photograph presents a close-up of a trumpet tree leaf, rendered in vivid shades of blue and red. Against a deep black background, the leaf’s vibrant colors seem to radiate with an almost neon-like intensity, creating a mesmerizing contrast that highlights its intricate details. Schatz’s expert lighting brings out the leaf’s textures and veins, imbuing it with a dynamic, almost luminescent quality. The dark backdrop serves to isolate and intensify the leaf’s brilliant hues, allowing the natural elegance of the trumpet tree to be viewed in a new and captivating light. Trumpet Tree transforms a simple leaf into a striking piece of art, inviting viewers to appreciate the vivid interplay of color and light in the natural world.
Opulent flower crowns, intertwined bodies, and decadent dinners hosted in underwater worlds – Howard Schatz’s imagery is marked by grandeur and abundance. Transgressing genres and motives, Schatz approaches portraits, nature photography, and the moving body in all its forms with an outburst of passion and energy. Liquid colors, extravagant perspectives, and daring details surprise the onlooker at every corner. Succulent vegetation and airy fabrics bleed into magical compositions. Howard Schatz is an award-winning photographer living in New York City and widely exhibited worldwide. With twenty books of photographs to his credit, Schatz's wide-ranging artistic oeuvre includes studies of actors, dancers, athletes, portraiture, and a world of underwater imagery. His photographs have appeared in countless magazines around the globe, including a running series in Vanity Fair, along with the covers of TIME, Sports Illustrated, US News and World Report, and GQ Italia, to name a few.

New York City, Cloud, Contemporary Color Fine Art Photography
By Roberta Fineberg
Located in New york, NY
For the pastel blue and white photograph “Cloud” the artist Roberta Fineberg’s attention and equilibrium remained anchored on an anthropomorphic cloud during an unusual springtime (2020) in New York. With the soul of the City laid bare, birds sang louder than usual outside city dwellers’ windows. Sunlight illuminated the empty streets, formerly bustling. Nature reigned.
A contemporary color photograph, Cloud, 2020 by Roberta Fineberg is 16" x 20" (sheet size) an archival pigment print on baryta paper in an edition of 5. Photograph is signed by the artist.

Artist Bio:
As a visual artist, Roberta Fineberg (RF) focuses on the themes of serendipity, inventiveness, and the development of ideas for her photography, video, installations, works on paper, and painting. Drawn to experimentation, she explores diverse mediums and concepts such as the ephemeral (Butterfly Series), stolen moments (documentary photography), play, timelessness, the enduring, and the significance of matter.
RF, living in New York City, began her career as an editorial photographer while studying in Paris. In France she contributed both photography and writing to publications, landing a column (photos and text) with The Saturday Review while exhibiting photographs in public spaces. Roberta Fineberg’s freelance photography appeared in Le Monde, Jeune Afrique, Paris Match, L’Officiel Femme, Ms, Weltwoche, Vanguardia, among others with images licensed through stock agencies. Photographs were selected for cover art at W.W. Norton, St. Martin’s Press, Harcourt, Bookspan, Simon & Schuster, etc. Print Regional Design Annual New York (2003) awarded her for book jacket photography for If Wishes Were Horses. In 1997 Macmillan published City Riders: A Story of Riding and Friendship her first book of black-and-white photographs and a story about three teenage girls in the 1990s who rode horses at the now-defunct Claremont Riding Academy and oldest stable in New York City.
In 2023, RF created an interactive installation, works on paper on the female body, in a public space. In July 2022, Fineberg’s Double Helix was included in a Sotheby’s auction in New York City and exhibited in the preview show Contemporary Discoveries.
