Artist: Photographer Jonathan Singer has created masterpieces of photographic art. Inspired by the work of the great botanical artists that came before him, Singer has developed a style of modern digital photography that possesses both the clarity and the artistry of traditional botanical illustration. Revealing the delicate structures of the plants at a level of detail unachievable with brush and paint, BOTANICA MAGNIFICA provides an entirely new appreciation of the complexity and individuality of these living beings. To see a photograph by Jonathan Singer is to transcend the medium and see the subject itself. The subject is so intriguing to our imaginations that we forget we are looking at a photograph and begin a deeper journey into the botanical world.
