Visual relationships abound in this photo. The golden telephone wires echos the golden road lines. A motorcyclist dressed in black advances while a bicyclist dressed in black retreats. A formal composition based on a vertical and horizontal structure is created. Meanwhile, the whole scene is bathed in a warm golden light. Additionally, there is an X-Factor in this photo. It's beautiful to look at.
Mitchell Funk is a "Color Photographer Pioneer". He was color when color wasn't considered art.
His early color work anticipates developments in color photography by generations.
In 1970 he participated in one the first " Color Photography" shows at a major museum. Brooklyn Museum, show "Images en Couleur". 1971 Included he was included in the visionary book "Frontiers of Photography" Time Life. Color ! American Photography Transformed. Amon Carter Museum. He has had more than 50 Photography Magazine Covers and has had covers on Newsweek and Life Magazine among
others.

Mitchell Funk
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
