About the Item

A Manhattan rooftop looks as beautiful as an abstract painting filled with lush colors punctuated by a single sitting figure in hyper-light. New York City rooftops are typically dark and unattractive because developers put money into street-level lobbies and landscaping. Photographer Mitchell Funk's colorful photograph explores the tension between the unknown and the unexpected. The uploaded video is lighter than it should be. Refer to the still images for proper color. This archival color photograph by fine art photographer Mitchell Funk is signed, dated and numbered 2/15, lower right recto. Other sizes are available and the fine art photograph is unframed and printed later. Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper Can a street photograph be a grab shot and precisely designed at the same time? Mitchell Funk says yes.
