Iconic photo of John Lennon with a dandelion in his eye, fondly known as 'Adoration' by Robert Whitaker.
Photographed in the garden of his Weybridge home, the year that the Beatles received their MBE's - in recognition of the worldwide 'Beatlemania' phenomenon. John Lennon had a taste for the bizarre and surreal in the visual arts, and in the presentation of his own image. Robert Whitaker claims this as one of his favorite images and acknowledges the inspiration being a meditation on Narcissus and a remembered quote from 'Euripides referring to flowers in people's eyes'.
All limited edition prints in this collection are hand numbered and authenticated with the official Robert Whitaker Estate Stamp.
