This eye-catching piece by Tony Kelly is a tribute to the golden days of F1 when tobacco companies proudly plastered their logos on cars while the legendary drivers enjoyed late nights, fine champagne, and fast ladies. F1 was one of the world’s most dangerous and exciting forms of sport, and the equally high risks and rewards were ever-present. But what would it feel like to be such a driver, and what if that diver took a slight diversion from the race track and pointed his Ferrari up Avenue du Port and onward to St Jean Cap Ferrat to spend the day on the beach with some local bronzed beauties enjoying the delights the Riviera has to offer?
Tony Kelly's images are rich in color, and his visual language is easily recognizable, inviting the viewer to a slightly surreal and humorous dreamworld.
Tony Kelly is one of the most influential fine art photographers of our time. He plays with humor and provocation, and although highly polished, his work is playfully subversive, which forces you to stop and think, inviting us to venture beneath the glossy veneer and confront stereotypes, taboos, and role reversals. Kelly was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1975. He cut his teeth as a photojournalist, capturing the burgeoning celebrity culture in a city embracing newfound wealth. His voracious appetite for blue skies and sun-drenched panoramas drew him to Barcelona, where he embraced the "street voyeur" within. His quirky spin on daily life and the cultural idiosyncrasies surrounding him quickly became his distinctive signature style.

Patty Carroll is an American photographer who has taught and practiced photography since the 1970’s. Her photography is characterized as vivid and boldly colored. Where her earlier works include typologies and portraiture, her new work symbolically expresses the domestic roles of women, via the series, Invisible Women.
She earned a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois and in 1972, she graduated with a Master of Science in Photography from the Institute of Design at IIT, Chicago. Since receiving her MS in Photography, Carroll has been teaching photography at universities worldwide. She has been a professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia College and the Royal College of Art in London, among other schools. Carroll’s photography has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, The Art Institute in Chicago, White Box Museum in Beijing, and The Photographers Association in Ningbo, China.
