Tony Kelly's works are characterized by a smooth sense of luxury, vibrant colors, especially red, and a touch of surrealism. 'Princess Juliana' combines all three of them. A beach filled with people, turquoise water, and hotels forms the backdrop to an Air France plane on low flight. The people at the beach look up as it jets over their heads. In the foreground, the face of a model is visible in profile. Her eyes are closed, and her lips, with bright red lipstick, are open wide as if to swallow the passing airplane.
