In this oeuvre, Drebin dramatically transforms a mere close-up of someone eating a spoon full of caviar into a theatrical scene where we can´t stop looking at it. The lips are red and luscious, the caviar looking fresh and delicious.
David Drebin (*1970 Canada) has published several photography books including "Love and Other Stories" (2007), "The Morning After" (2010), and "Beautiful Disasters." Beyond photography, he has expanded into other artistic mediums including lightboxes, neon installations, and etched glass works.
His photographs often create a sense of mystery and intrigue, frequently capturing moments that feel like they're part of a larger narrative. His cityscapes and landscapes, like the Capri image you shared, typically feature dramatic lighting and composition that evoke an emotional response.
Drebin's work is collected worldwide and has been exhibited in numerous galleries and art fairs. He's also known for his commercial work with luxury brands and his editorial contributions to major magazines.

Love stories and landscapes are at the foundation of David Drebin's panoramas, portraits, and neon sculptures.
Drebin's monograph Love and Other Stories (2007) features solitary women in urban tableaux — high-rise apartments buildings and terraces, freeway overpasses and hotel rooms. Dressed alternately in bikinis, evening gowns, and negligees, the women appear to be in various stages of a love affair. They pout while lying on couches and ascend grand staircases; their legs emerge from doorways and car doors, their concealed upper bodies assumedly engaged in passionate embraces. Drebin's cityscapes present sweeping views of famous locales such as Jerusalem, Paris, and New York and incorporate both built and natural features. In “San Francisco Dusk” (2010), an illuminated grid of buildings reaches toward the misty blue horizon of the Pacific Ocean.
