With the series "rest und reservoir" (2022), Matthias Klos questions our cultural-technological formatting of soil and time as well as subsequent utilizations thereof. In the photographs of urban wastelands, soil appears as a limited resource. Unused, it forms a spatial, temporal, and ecological reservoir. The connection to urban planning dedications and the option of future usage is established through the land parcel designations that title the photographs.
