About the Item
A long lens isolates three nude chubby child figures from the Angel of the Waters Bronze Statue in Central Park. They are juxtaposed with three modern-day figures in a rowboat. The overall image is quite abstract as shimming backlit droplets of water cover the whole scene. The image pulsates with color akin to the brushstrokes of a post-impressionist painter. The out-of-focus rowboat figures in the background take on an abstract nature as their vibrant colors dissolve and cast a long reflection. Mitchell Funk photography It pushes the boundaries of color photography and transforms a tourist location image into a fine art image. Signed dated and numbered 3/15 lower right recto, other sizes available, unframed. This work is printed on fine art Hahnemuhle paper. The color will vary from monitor to monitor.
