With the Series 'Private Rooms' Argentini plays with our notion of privacy and constructs a hidden erotic universe in which we never know what we will encounter - our deepest erotic fantasies or even a parallel world. The sizzling erotic images, both artistic and simple, are characterized by a dark glamour all of their own.
This work is a bird' s-eye view of an L-shaped couch and glass coffee table. A model is lounging on the sofa, one of her legs resting on the backrest. She is only wearing black stockings and smoking a cigarette, not acknowledging the camera.
The square black and white image has a graphic, almost abstract look. The model's light skin contrasts against the dark interior. The implied voyeurism adds another layer of interest to this piece.
Dramatic poses, tender touches, and longing glances populate Guido Argentini’s photographic landscape.
