Charme - Photography on canvas by Joachim Romain

2022

About the Item

Charme is an artwork by French contemporary artist Joachim Romain. This work is a pleated canvas on which a photograph, the artist's favorite medium, has been printed. The artist started photography in the street. At first, it allowed him to report on his observations of urban poster walls. He now uses it to reveal an era in which our eyes are constantly caught by images in cities as well as on websites, inciting a shopping frenzy. At the crossroads between advertising images and art images, Joachim Romain's productions are made from shots of online sales sites, which the photographer sometimes reworks and damages. Charme is sold framed, signed, and delivered with its certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
