Signed, dated and numbered on front of print. Titled on back of print. Edition of 50. Also available as an 15 x 15 inch size and now available in a 30 x 30 inch size by special request. Prices and availability subject to change. Please contact us. The African lion in Lion's Stare was a 20 years old male called Subu, and he lived at Colchester Zoo, in Essex, England. The image was taken in 2009. The following year, his health deteriorated due to chronic active spinal arthritis, and, on veterinary advice, it was felt that the only option was to put him down. His death had quite an impact on many people in the area, as he was so well known.
