"Brigitte" (Tiffany Blue) by artist Sarah Hanhart is from her series of Hollywood movie stars, where she explores female ideas of beauty by eliminating all other relevant information except for the eyes and mouth of some of Hollywoods most famous actresses. Inspired by Andy Warhol, the resulting abstractions forces the viewer to look at the most basic form of these famous faces in a new way, removed from the Hollywood press from which they were culled.
Photograph mounted to gallery plexi clear 1/8" acrylic with white Sintra backing and and an aluminum brace. Edition of 50.
