Stefanie Schneider's "Zuma Beach" series captures the dreamlike essence of a day spent on the sun-kissed shores of California. The images evoke a sense of nostalgia as if they were taken from a lost era of 1960s beach culture. Schneider's use of Polaroid film adds to the vintage feel of the series, with its characteristic soft focus and warm, golden tones.
The images in the series range from intimate portraits of sunbathers to expansive landscapes of the beach and ocean. The photographs are imbued with a sense of freedom and joy as if the subjects are completely at ease and in the moment. There is a dreamlike quality to the images as if the viewer is experiencing a hazy memory of a perfect day at the beach.
Schneider's use of light is particularly striking in this series, with the bright sun casting a warm glow over everything in its path. The interplay of light and shadow creates a sense of depth and texture as if the viewer can feel the sand between their toes and the salty breeze on their skin.
Overall, "Zuma Beach" is a beautiful and evocative series that transports the viewer to a time and place of carefree joy and relaxation. Schneider's masterful use of Polaroid film and her keen eye for capturing the perfect moment make this series a true work of art.

Tom Kelley’s interesting career spans more than four decades: first started as an apprentice in a New York photo studio that catered to the city's upper 400 (i.e. photographing the Vanderbilts, the Astors, the Harrimans, the Morgans, etc.). One of his biggest spot news assignments was covering the Lindbergh kidnapping case.
Coming to California, Kelley was retained to photograph the stars created by David 0. Selznick and Samuel Goldwyn including Ingrid Bergman. A few of his other most famous subjects have been Gary Cooper, Greta Garbo, James Cagney, Clark Gable, Winston Churchill, Bob Hope, Marlene Dietrich, Joan Crawford, Jack Benny, John F. Kennedy, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Franklin D. Roosevelt and, of course, Marilyn Monroe, with and without clothes. His easiest photo subject? Clark Gable. His toughest? Joan Bennett.
Following a long and profitable career helping to publicize motion picture personalities, he drifted the commercial advertising/photography field where he has remained as one of the leading exponents in the business. Of course, his most famous image was of Marilyn Monroe nude...
