Please note that prices and availability may change due to current sales. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Since 1985 Valentín Vallhonrat’s camera has directly and conscientiously investigated how the image of the world is constructed. Nature, wildlife, power and glory, the human face and the representation of its emotions, the symbols that represent the world Cultures of the pre-eminent cultural system through the isolation of some representations. To this end, the photographer from Madrid has started from cultural constructions from the point of view of the anthropologist rather than as a preacher. This photograph has been exhibited in museums such as The Spanish Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Seville and in the National Museum Reina Sofia Art Center. Before dawn, sunlight does not show most of its color spectrum. The yellow and magenta are not yet present, the reflection of these ranges on the vault remains and with a bluish light and without contrast, the human eye perceives the objects with their attenuated volumes. The buildings represented in these photographs carry conditions as spaces of power and spirituality. They are used as symbols of identity, however the photographs, which in turn are the register of these buildings, lack these attributes, but allow us to relate to the pre-existing attributes and images of these monuments that we have internalized. This photograph has been exhibited in museums such as The Spanish Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Seville and in the National Museum Reina Sofia Art Center.
