This dramatic shot by photographer Viet Chu taken in 2013, features 1960’s super model “Twiggy’s” piercing eyes, peeking out of red velvet.
As a world traveler for photographic assignments, Viet Chu finds beauty in life’s special moments in time, capturing each in his photographs. His work is a reflection of his journey’s and experiences. In his approach to capture an image, he utilizes traditional and non-traditional means of lighting and infuse it with an intuitive sensibility, which is then converged with emotional intelligence to create a simple net composition of shadows and light, of subject and background, of space and inter-space, all with the goal of stopping a moment of time that tells a story for the rest of time.

Artist bio:
Brian Aris in the 1970’s began his photographic career as a photojournalist. Over nine years a series of frontline assignments took him around the world. He then decided on a complete change of direction and opened a studio in London where he started photographing fashion and glamour models, as well as stars of the music industry for newspapers and magazines. He broadened his studio work to include pop and rock stars such as Blondie, The Rolling Stones, The Jam, The Clash, The Boomtown Rats, Roxy Music and The Police.
During the next two decades he covered every aspect of the music scene from punk rock, glam’ rock and straight rock ‘n’ roll from the Rolling Stones right through to the emergence of the boy bands and then the girl power that arrived with The Spice Girls...
