About the Item

New York City based wildlife and street photographer Viet Chu, captured the angular, light and architectural aspects of Grand Central Terminal in NYC at 42nd St. and Park Avenue. By leaving the US flag colored, while rest of the photograph is black and white, this everyday life scene from this famous station was captured in a dreamlike and patriotic image. Viet Chu is a world traveler for photographic assignments. He finds beauty in life’s special moments in time, capturing each with his unique photographic style. Chu’s work is a reflection of his journey’s and life experiences. In his approach to capture an image, he utilizes traditional and non-traditional means of lighting. It is then infused with his intuitive sensibility, converging it with emotional intelligence, to create a simple composition of shadows, light, subject and background. His goal is to capture a moment in time that tells a story for the rest of time. Limited Edition of this print, numbered and signed by Viet Chu are available in the sizes below. We ship world-wide and shipping is free. Your choice of one or many artworks will be given the highest standard care and delivery. Grand Central Station New York [2018] Limited Edition Architecture Brushed aluminium Edition number 25 Image size: H:61 cm x W:91 cm Complete Size of Unframed Work: H:61 cm x W:91 cm x D:0.3cm Sold Unframed Please note that insitu images are purely an indication of how a piece may look Grand Central Station - probably my favourite building in the world. The sheer scale of it’s beauty and design is breathtaking. Opened in 1913 it sums up everything I love about New York - the hustle and bustle, the colour and the stunning architecture. This piece is created from an original photograph and painstakingly coloured digitally by hand, including every person on the concourse and the exquisite ceiling. The image is printed directly onto a thin sheet of aluminium which gives it an etched appearance, picking out the beautiful details of the station. Grand Central Station is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 10-14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it easy to hang. Michael has spent more than twenty years in the media industry working on entertainment programmes, talk shows, documentaries, animations and a children’s novel. But creating original and innovative art is his true passion. His latest work celebrates the beauty of the city through the shapes, outlines and colours that define its character. London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Miami, Paris and Dubai all feature in Michael’s portfolio. The art is created by digitally manipulating and colouring his own photographs to produce unusual prints on aluminium, reclaimed wood, brass, even 1930’s copper-lite windows. He also creates neon, magnetic, and L.E.D installations. The metal pieces are printed on very thin sheets of brushed aluminium, giving the work an etched appearance. Michael works out of his studio at Wimbledon Art...
