" Life inmitates art…
Faces are arguably one of the most informative and significant visual stimuli in human perception. A brief glimpse of a person’s face readily reveals their identity, gender, emotion, age, and race. The requirement of wearing masks extensively had stripped us of those human traits. For a long period of time, we had become faceless. Satirically, we have become like the mannequins in this DVF (Diane von Furstenberg) store front window. Ironically, although the mannequins are faceless, they somehow exhibit more life than this young, faceless couple. They were afterall, designed to be so. Indeed. "
Viet Chu is a world traveler for photographic assignments. He finds beauty in life’s special moments in time, capturing each with his unique photographic style. Chu’s work is a reflection of his journey’s and life experiences. In his approach to capture an image, he utilizes traditional and non-traditional means of lighting. It is then infused with his intuitive sensibility, converging it with emotional intelligence, to create a simple composition of shadows, light, subject and background. His goal is to capture a moment in time that tells a story for the rest of time.
