The Future's always uncertain - the end is always near, 2022, Edition of 50. digital print on 100% cotton fine art paper.
Namibian painter Arno Hoth creates digital artworks using new media technology. Born in Windhoek in 1950, he attended Kunstschule Strahn in Germany from 1974 – 1977. While living and working In Germany Hoth bought a Wacom tablet which he used as a digital sketchbook for his paintings. The tablet allowed him to work quickly, laying out and experimenting with his ideas for new work. Soon he discovered that the technology provided a wider range of possibilities than working with paint on canvas. Hoth went beyond using the tablet for sketches and began focusing on digital painting as a medium in its own right. You can read more about Hoth’s creative process here. Hoth currently lives and works near Kamanjab in north west Namibia.
