In his latest series, Emergency Inspiration, the artist expands on certain questions that are at the core of art-making: How do artists respond in times of uncertainty? How can we gain a better personal understanding of a crises old and new, real or fabricated throughout daily practices? Several of the new works come together in the current exhibition titled, The Landscape I Can’t Unsee, the artworks mine a mixture of imagery that is taken from historical archives and contemporary digital databases. Memes and familiar iconographies are re-drawn and stylized in a collective manner that invite’s one to contemplate certain prescient issues that we constantly face.
