1977

About the Item

The Seven Days of Bardo Thodol 4 is an original litograph and screen print realized by Michele Canzoneri (1977). The artwork is part of a collection of 100 artworks for the realization of the Tibetan book of the great liberation. In very good conditions, and protected by a tissue paper, is numbered and hand-signed by the artist on the lower margin. Michele Canzoneri was born in Palermo in 1944. Between 1976 and 1977 he worked on the cycle of Bardo Thödol, the Tibetan Book of the Great Liberation. The tension towards the material, which leads him to the most diverse experimentations and techniques, is combined with the call of the ancient, the desire for an underground dialogue with memory.
