About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “Kauai, Tranquility” is an 8 x 8 inch unique digital abstract inkjet print represented on 12 x 12 inch Red River UltraPro photo paper and is part of her “Pieces and Pictures” series. Lavender, olive green, light turquoise and grey are the choice colors in this playful print depicting the coastline and landscape of Kauai, Hawaii’s Garden State. Platinum white block printing ink was applied to the paper prior to printing the camouflaged images of palm trees and plumeria. Even a subtle suggestion of a lawn chair blends harmoniously with the landscape of contrasting striations and color blocking of this lush and layered piece. Patty deGrandpre’s contemporary works have a powerful effect as there are multiple directions the eyes of a viewer can be taken, whether it’s right vs. left or top vs. bottom. Each unique image is printed only once and is signed and dated under the bottom right corner of the image. This print will ship at in a protective sleeve ready for the frame of your choice. Patty deGrandpre
Patty deGrandpre is a Massachusetts based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Beverly, Massachusetts. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.
