About the Item

Peter Halley Color, Nine Times 2023 Acrylic, fluorescent acrylic on HI-RND technology print on aluminium 100 × 83.8 cm (39.4 × 33 in) Signed and numbered Edition of 35 In mint condition “Color, Nine Times” has been created thanks to both a mechanical and manual process. The first one allowed the emergence of texture and relief, and the second one employed paint and pigments. The canvases were created thanks to “cells’ of Roll-A-Tex (a textured material seen in popcorn ceilings) repeated nine times and fixed together into a tightly packed puzzle, reminiscent of vintage video games. The signature hues of fluorescent nuances were made in Peter Halley’s Studio and applied to each canvas. Each artwork required 9 hours of technical engineering and printing, followed by 16 hours of work by hand. “ What really specifically interests me is that the use of color can be transgressive. I find it exciting if I can make some awkward color or combination of color work. „ —Peter Halley

Recessed Discussion Stream - Contemporary, 21st Century, Sculpture, Sculpture
By Liam Gillick

Liam Gillick, Recessed Discussion Stream Plexiglas and MDF Edition of 30 12 x 50.1 x 20 cm (4.7 x 19.7 x 7.9 in) Signed and numbered on Certificate of Authenticity In mint condition, as acquired from the publisher PLEASE NOTE: Edition numbers could vary from the one shown in the pictures. The pictures shown are only for illustrative reasons, the piece is offered unframed. Gillick’s work exposes the dysfunctional aspects of a modernist legacy in terms of abstraction and architecture when framed within a globalized, neo-liberal consensus. His work extends into structural rethinking of the exhibition as a form. He deploys multiple forms to expose the new ideological control systems that emerged at the beginning of the 1990s. "By making the abstract concrete, art no longer retains any abstract quality, it merely announces a constant striving for a state of abstraction and in turn produces more abstraction to pursue." -Liam Gillick Gillick’s work has had a profound impact on a contemporary understanding of how art and architecture influence, and are themselves influenced by, interpersonal communication and interactions in the public sphere. This colorful Plexiglas...
