Sean Scully by David Carrier, Published by Thames & Hudson, 2004
Sean Scully’s Walls of Light are signature works. The museum-scale versions are usually big, imposing oils - a number are always on view at the Sean Scully Room in the Hugh Lane Gallery Dublin. But Scully has also produced more domestically scaled series of the Walls, in watercolour and print, as in this fine example of his personal take on abstraction: minimalism with a heart.
