Acquired directly from the artist by Dr. Dorothy Robins-Mowry, renowned author among others of "the Hidden Sun: Women of Modern Japan", and Officer in charge of Cultural Exchange and Women Affairs at Tokyo Embassy from 1963 to 1971.
