The Israeli-Palestinian conflict refers to the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis in the Middle East. It pits two nationalisms (Jewish nationalism and Palestinian Arab nationalism) against each other and includes an important religious dimension, as Israel is a Jewish state with a Jewish majority and the Palestinians are predominantly Muslim.
This is the case for the "Karameh battle", which refers to the attack by the Israeli army on March 20, 1968 on the Palestinian camp of Karameh in Jordan.
