About the Item
Medium: lithograph (after the original lithograph poster). During the late 1940's and throughout the 1950's, Henri Matisse created a series of posters at the atelier of Mourlot Freres. The lithograph offered here was printed by Mourlot in 1959, reproducing the Matisse poster in a smaller size. The image size is 6 x 8 7/8 inches (155 x 225 mm). The total sheet measures 12 x 9 1/4 inches (300 x 240 mm). The left margin is slightly more narrow that the right, as issued. Signed in the plate (not by hand).
Condition: there is age-toning to the paper.
