About the Item

In this surrealist composition, a young boy in a striped shirt sits in a doorway, gazing at a mural painted on a nearby wall. The mural depicts a river winding through lush mountains, where below, another boy dressed in Aladdin-style white garb, barefoot and shielding his eyes, appears captivated by the scene. Light streams in from a large window, inviting the boy into this dreamlike landscape. The artist captures a moment where two boys from different worlds seem to meet, reflecting both the cultural divergences and the shared beauty of the realms they inhabit. Gala's Christ
By (after) Salvador Dali
Located in Brooklyn, NY
This is a hand-signed and numbered lithograph by Salvador Dalí, titled Gala’s Christ, from a limited edition of 150 printed on Arches paper. As with many Dalí lithographs, the sheet was pre-signed in pencil outside the image area—a standard practice authorized by Dalí and documented by his official cataloger Albert Field. Gala’s Christ is a powerful fusion of Dalí’s spiritual vision and surrealist symbolism, often interpreted as a deeply personal depiction of Christ inspired by Gala, Dalí’s wife and muse. It continues the artist’s fascination with religious themes, rendered with dramatic intensity and a sense of divine elevation. It was published by DALART N.V. in 1982. This edition is part of a stereoscopic diptych titled Crucifixion (Christ of Gala...
