This piece is inspired by William Blake's poem 'TheTyger'. I design the image in my sketchbook and then transfer it to lino, which I hand-carve. Each print is handprinted in my studio using a roller press. As each print is individually handprinted, there may be slight variations in tone and colour. This print is made using gold oil-based ink as a background and then printed over with the tiger in dark purple ink. Each print has the title, edition number and my signature hand-written beneath the image.

An original limited edition two-block linoprint. This print is a bright and colourful celebration of the lion and its connection to the sun. I have designed the image so that the lion's mane mimics the rays of the sun. Once I have designed the image, I transfer it to lino, which I then hand-carve. I print the linoprint in my studio, using a roller press. As each print is individually printed, there may be slight variations in tone and colour. This print is made using two separate linoblocks, which are each individually inked and printed in different colours. Here I have used orange for the background and red for the lion on Soft White Somerset heavy paper. Each print has the title, edition number and my signature hand-written in pencil beneath the image.
