Beautiful poster of Emil Bon for the Algerian railroads, towards the Sahara passing by the famous canyon of El Kantara. El Kantara is a town and commune in the province of Biskra, Algeria. The 1911 Baedeker travel guide describes it as "one of the most important caravan stations in eastern Algeria". The town is known for its nearby eponymous gorge, described by locals as the "mouth of the desert.
