The portfolio, that includes 10 lithographs on Japanese paper (various sizes) representing original artworks by Egon Schiele between 1906 and 1918, is from an edition of 600 copies, printed by Reichl & Partner, Vienna 1990 and published by Siedler Wien. The rings and foxing on the upper right corner and spread throughout the surface are only on the original artwork. The conditions of this lithograph are perfect. This is a copy of the original that was created as a drypoint. It represents a female figure kneeling on a green background; the woman is very sensual and elegant; she wears a typical headgear of that time. Schiele's drawings and artworks have been considered artful pornography for the naked bodies and the sensuality of the poses. His paintings focus on sex and death, were often decorated with dramatic splashes of color or characterized by black outlines. In 1909, he abandoned the Academy of Fine Arts and founded the Neukunstgruppe with some friends. In 1910, he moved to a little village with the model Wally Neuzil, looking for inspiration. Schiele's work has been considered pornographic, disturbing and focused on sex: this caused some troubles for the artist during his life. In 1914, Edith Harms became his wife and his muse. She has been described in some famous artwork of the artist.
