Beautiful satiric illustration by the French draftsman and caricaturist Clément Pruche (1811-1890). Plate 5, from the series "Le Bon coté", Aubert and C.ie, Paris, 1840 c.a. Signed on plate on lower-right corner.
With the amusing printed capture on lower margin:"Les chiens, c'est sale! ça pue!. mais les chats, c'est gentil; ma Mimi en a fait seize depuis un an, et comme elle y tient, je les garde.".
In very good condition, with some light stains on margins. Including passepartout, dim: cm 49 x 34.
