About the Item

This work is hand signed by the artist in pencil at the lower right margin. It was printed in 1979 in a limited edition of only 300 hand signed impressions and a few artist's proofs. This is one of the few hand signed artist's proofs. The publisher of the lithograph was Circle Fine Art and the work bears their dry stamp at the lower left margin. The work is stamped on the back side with the ink stamp of the Erte's estate "Succession Romain de Tirtoff Erte 1990", as it was part of the artist's estate after his death in 1990. Provenance: The Artist's estate, 1990 (stamped verso). Literature: "Erte at Ninty: The Complete Graphics", by M.Lee, London: Weidenfield and Nicholson, 1982. Condition: Good condition, some minor bands in the corners, 2 creases at the right part of the paper, stains verso only.
