Six fold marks; otherwise fine original condition. Initialed in the stone, lower left. Housed in a 20 x 16-inch archival mat, suitable for framing.
John Bull was the personification of England. THEODORE III (1818-1868) was Emperor of Abyssinia from 1855 to 1868. In 1868, he was defeated by England and committed suicide. His son was taken to England by the British army.
