In very good conditions.
The artwork represents a landscape of a city beside the river, the boats and houses are colored in brown though the sky it harmonized in green, here the color has a symbolic role of nature, as a tree is made by these brown and green, the calm city has slept in peace. The artist, Chapin intentionally made a stunning beauty of a landscape by the river by tick brushes, skilled drawing and choice of authentic color for this scenery.
Jean Chapin (Paris, 1896 - 1994), a French artist who exhibited his work at the Salon des Indépendants and at the Salon d'Automne, and was a member of the Societé National de Beaux-Arts.
