Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita
A Stroll - Original Lithograph by L.T. Foujita - 1928

1928

About the Item

Image dimensions: 20 x 15.2 cm. A Stroll is a color lithograph on paper by the master Leonard Tsuguharu Foujita. From the volume "Propos d'un intoxiqué, written by Jules Boissiére and illustrated with 16 color plates. Published by Javal and Bourdeaux in 1928, printed "au trait" by Gaston Proust and "mises en couleurs" by the atelier Daniel Jacomet et C. of Paris, this superb modern print reproduces the original watercolor by Leonard Tsuguharu Foujita. From the limited edition of 97 prints. Signed by the artist on plate on lower left margin. With a typical Foujita's lightness and poetry this modern artwork represents the free-time of Japanese people: a woman with child, two smoking elder men are walking, some pigs and a cat are throwing the narrow street. With harmonic colors and with the unmistakable sign and airiness of the master Foujita this amazing piece is perfect for your sophisticated private collection. In excellent condition: as good as new. Exhibitions: "Léonard Foujita, Image et Parole", Meguro Museum of Art, Tokyo, 1988-1989, n. 28
