Portrait of Elegant Man is an original modern artwork realized in the first half of the XX Century.
Original woodcut on paper.
Signed on plate by the artist on the right margin.
Very good conditions.
The work depicts a distinguished and elegant man looking towards the observer. The figure is dressed in a dark coat and has a thick beard and hair. The composition is balanced and contrasting and, on the upper side, a small "comb" frame defines the composition. The stroke is Expressionistic, this leads us to suppose that the author of the work had contact with German expressionism.
