"Il Boom" is an original offset realized by Vittorio Vighi.
In excellent conditions: As good as new.
This artwork represents an original comic book with bright colors.
Vittorio Vighi (Bologna 22/3/1927 - Rome 25/1/2008) was born cartoonist: from an early age he began to hand-draw cartoons and stories on elementary school notebooks and books. In the late 1940s he began to send his cartoons to various newspapers. At the beginning of the fifties, after leting law studies, he moved to Rome and worked for a long time as a humorous-satirical designer for the glorious newspapers of the sector such as the 'Marc'Aurelio'. For this activity in Bordighera in 1958 he won 'Il Dattero d'oro', Trofeo Internazionale dell'Umorismo.
After the humorous newspaper season, from the late 1950s to the mid-1970s he worked as a subject and screenwriter for cinema (see filmography) and later as an author for radio and television.
But the activity of cartoonist was never completely abandoned: it was in the 1969/70s in fact that La Lupa, his most famous work, and parodies of the characters of ancient Rome were created.
From the late 1970s he recovered his old passion, painting. After the works desecralizing tradition, he produced the series Inferni Urbani and Humoresque, exhibiting in exhibitions organized in various cities of Italy.
Now retired, in the 1990s he resumed collaborating, as a cartoonist, on various newspapers or headboard inserts.
