About the Item

As most of the time, this artwork is a combination of painting, photography and digital post processing. Lambda c-print on acryl glass; inclusive alu-hanging system. All my works come with an international certificate. Creating artwork is, for geert, a process of constructing imagery that metaphorically represents his thoughts and ideas in a strong and arresting manner. Fantasy, drama, psychology, and mysticism are central to his imagery. Describing that which he shows us, the artist writes that, ΓÇ£his works show us more often this unknown, weird world in theatrical situations we never see in our ΓÇÿrealΓÇÖ life. [They] are sort of a visual analysis of his thoughts about another and (maybe) better world.ΓÇ¥ Other sizes are no problem. :: Digital :: Abstract Expressionism :: This piece comes with an official certificate of authenticity signed by the artist :: Ready to Hang: Yes :: Signed: Yes :: Signature Location: in front :: Glass :: Diagonal :: Limited Edition :: Framed: No

Abstract (Edition 48/100) By Bram van Velde (1895-1981) Without Frame: 37" x 24" With Frame: 37.75" x 24.75" Signed and Numbered Bottom Left Bram (Abraham Gerardus) van Velde was a Dutch painter known for an intensely colored and geometric semi-representational painting style related to Tachisme*, and Lyrical Abstraction*. He is often seen as member of the School of Paris* but his work resides somewhere between expressionism* and surrealism*, and evolved in the 1960s into an expressive abstract art. His paintings from the 1950s are similar to the contemporary work of Matisse, Picasso and the abstract expressionist Adolph Gottlieb. Dutch Contemporary Art by Lennard Blokker - Spill 1
Located in Paris, IDF
Sublimation printing on recycled polyester fabric stretched over wooden stretchers. These pieces are created by fading and changing old photographs from archives of Utrecht (the city Lennard works from) and his childhood. Through subliminal transfer on textile that is made with recycled plastic, he creates a soft work where the colors get all the attention. For the viewer, this gives the opportunity to be constantly shifting their perspective over the gradients. Lennard Blokker...
