In this original vintage poster designed by James Rosenquist for the 8th New York Film Festival, Short Cuts, Rosenquist mimics rolls of film in three vertical strips, rendered in his signature vibrant color palette. This first edition poster, created for the festival held at Philharmonic Hall (now Avery Fisher Hall) from September 10-20, 1970, captures Rosenquist’s dynamic style and the innovative spirit of the event, making it a significant piece for both art and film enthusiasts.
