CALIFORNIA GOLD DIGGERS - Mining Operations on the Western Shore of the Sacramento River, 1849 (Finley 111) Lithograph published by Kellogg & Comstock, New York & Hartford Conn. Ensign & Thayer, Buffalo. Generally good condition 1/4 - 1" margins. Image including title 9 1/4 X 12 3/8 inches. Sheet 10 5/8 X 14 inches, some later coloring. A repaired tear in the right margin, small repair in the title. ONE OF THE CLASSIC PRINTS OF THE GOLD RUSH showing various character types in the fields. Framed in period frame.
THIS IS A PERIOD GOLD RUSH PRINT, c. 1849-50, unlike a Currier & Ives version that was published in the 1870's
