Andre Planson
Born in 1898, Planson was a member of the Painters of Poetic Realism and a Knight in the Legion of Honour, and was associated with the School of Paris. His paintings are partly inspired by the landscapes of the Marne Valley, always colourful and dynamic, and he is known for his nudes and genre paintings in cafés, theatres, and dance halls. The artist's home town of Seine-et-Marne has a museum dedicated to the Modernist artist.
